Having It All

I’m excited to share with you that I’m featured on the blog Busy Since Birth today!

Busy Since Birth is the creation of the terrific Cheryl Stober whom I met through Boston Parent Bloggers, a network of (you guessed it) blogging parents living in the Boston area. She covers many topics in her blog, including, and importantly, the issue of work-life balance. This, as you likely know, is of great interest to me, as it’s pretty much a constant focus of my life.

In January, Cheryl started featuring guests as part of her Having It All Project. In this series of posts, Cheryl, her friends, and her colleagues have been exploring all of the issues that go along with cultivating careers, parenting, working toward personal and professional goals, and so much more. I’ve really enjoyed the posts. They demonstrate that we can “have it all.” We need to first define “all” for ourselves, be flexible when “all” changes, understand that everyone else’s definition is likely different, and provide support and encouragement to one another. What a rich and interesting area of discussion.

You can read my post here. I look forward to hearing what you think!

Cheryl asked for photos to go along with my post,
so, on Easter, I tried to get everyone to cooperate
for an updated family picture.
Here’s attempt #1.
And, here’s attempt #2.
After seeing R’s tongue sticking out,
I more than ever need to learn Photoshop.
