Travel the World
The travel bug bit me hard in my twenties. Before then I had been outside of the United States only once for choir trip in high school (Austria and Italy). In my twenties, however, I had a job that regularly sent me overseas. One year, I had ten international trips, each a minimum of a week, most of them lasting longer. I loved every minute of it.
Since then, I’ve been six continents and have visited dozens of countries. I love watching the pages of my passport fill up, and I love seeing a world beyond my neighborhood. I’m a better person for having traveled abroad.
I’ve instilled this love of travel in my children as well. I’ve tried to plan adventures for our family every year, as I am committed to raising “citizens of the world.” I’ve chronicled some of my family’s journeys on this site — here are a few….
