Hi friends — I have great news to share: I’m being published!
I’m excited to announce that I have an essay in a new anthology from The Her Stories Project, which will be published on September 14. Titled THE PANDEMIC MIDLIFE CRISIS: GEN X WOMEN ON THE BRINK, the book features the work of 31 writers from all over the United States, sharing stories about how they made it through the COVID-19 pandemic (knowing, of course, that it’s not yet over). This collection will take you behind the news headlines of job losses, virtual schooling, and quarantines. These stories reveal how real Gen X women confronted the daily challenges of pandemic life.
My essay is about my family’s experience adopting our rescue dog Zara during 2020, and how that decision connected us to one another and our community–even during quarantining! The other essays cover a range of topics and feature heartbreak, resilience, gratitude, and so much more. I hope you’ll enjoy reading what these brave women have shared–I know I will.
Until August 25, you can pre-order your copy of THE PANDEMIC MIDLIFE CRISIS here. After that time, the anthology will be on Amazon, and I hope, down the line, in independent bookstores, too.
Congrats! Looking forward to reading the book!
Thanks so much, Nina!
